Tour guide

in Western Sicily

Travel, explore, discover

A mosaic of cultures, an explosion of flavors, a bridge between East and West, North and South, an island of light and landscapes. Sicily is all this and much more.

Sicily is a tile in a larger mosaic that includes Mediterranean history.

Surrounded by three seas: Mediterranean, Tyrrhenian, and Ionian, and by three Continents: European, Asian, and African, the island has been explored and inhabited by peoples from the north, south, east, and west since ancient times . Each has left an indelible imprint in the architecture, folk traditions, and art.

It is not surprising that the island has been considered a Continent, where Arabic, Greek, Latin, and Jewish languages and cultures have all been present and important.

That is why a trip to Sicily takes you to discover churches that look like mosques, Greek temples and theaters, Roman archaeological sites, religious festivals reminiscent of very Catholic Spain, and cities where the muezzin calls the faithful to prayer. All this is possible only in Sicily.

Exploring it means to experience this and much more, such as the cuisine with its bittersweet flavors and Mediterranean scents.

That is why Sicily’s is a History with a capital S that is worth telling.

Your tour guide

Tour guide by profession and traveler by passion: are they not, perhaps, two sides of the same coin?

Cities, archaeological sites and landscapes are my “office”, museums and monuments are my bread and butter.

Being a tour guide for me does not only mean accompanying the traveler and showing the beauty of my land, it means, above all, to be its spokesperson, to be an ambassador of culture, to make people fall in love with the places they visit, to know how to capture the deepest essence and transmit it verbally.

If you want to plan a trip to western Sicily, please contact me! I will be happy to help you find your route and accompany you during your stay.

I look forward to seeing you in Sicily.

Chiara is a highly trained guide who puts her soul into her work.

When she tells about her land you can feel all her passion as a guide.

She is Chiara (Clear) in name and in fact: her explanations are always complete, exhaustive, and captivating.

For work I have accompanied several groups in Western Sicily and with Chiara everything has always been perfect.

Chiara (same last name as us, but no relation) was our guide to Palermo and western Sicily for a week in February-March 2025.

She was wonderful–very personable and extremely knowledgeable about art history, architecture, and Sicily’s extraordinarily rich history.

She was also very flexible with last-minute adjustments to our itinerary, and recommended sights to see on our own and restaurants.  Finally, she was absolutely delightful company, very warm and genuine.  Highest recommendation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        John

As a colleague and fellow tour guide, I can absolutely wholeheartedly recommend Chiara as your guide in Palermo.

There is no one quite as radiant and enthusiastic and very few are as knowledgeable about the city as Chiara. A huge thumbs-up!
